Fire protection for ventilation, smoke extract and kitchen extract ducts. Like many other aspects of a building infrastructure reducing thermal transmission is essential, ductworks and service areas are no exception. Not only does the Firepro DuctRock Slab provide thermal insulation to ductworks it also protects the structure in the event of a fire. The DuctRock Slab provides up to 2 hours of fire protection to ductworks as well as fire resistance where they pass through walls and floors (in the correct system), this means the fire is less likely to spread through other parts of the building through the ducts.
